Laughing Matters…More! is a reality-based romp with four of the hottest lesbian comics working today—Elvira Kurt (a Second City alum named Canadian female comic of the year and a writer for Ellen DeGeneres); Sabrina Matthews (the darling of Comedy Central); Rene Hicks (the first African-American woman nominated for Best Female Stand-up at the American Comedy Awards) and Vickie Shaw (the hilarious Southern- Baptist- lesbian-mom-turned-crossover-comic). All have extensive television and standup success.

Director's Bio - Andrea Meyerson

After nearly 10 years producing concerts and live comedy shows through StandOut Productions Inc., Andrea founded All Out Films in 2002 and produced and directed the award-winning film Laughing Matters. The film aired on here! Network, and the DVD is distributed by Wolfe Video. Amongst the many awards, the film won “Best Documentary” at Outfest: L.A. Gay & Lesbian Film Festival. Andrea has been recognized for her outstanding filmmaking and live entertainment productions by Power Up, a prestigious lesbian organization for women in television and film. She just wrapped production of the sequel, entitled Laughing Matters…More! Both films highlighted the talents of several outstanding lesbian comedians. She is currently in post production with Kate Clinton’s Kick-off performance of her 25th Anniversary Tour. Andrea is also a pioneer in the lesbian community, having created the largest grassroots lesbian social and cultural organization in the country – Women On A Roll.

Additionally, through StandOut Productions, Andrea continues to produce a multitude of live comedy shows and concerts throughout the year. Her live productions have featured such talents as Roseanne Barr, the late Nell Carter, Kate Clinton, Sophie B. Hawkins, Janis Ian, Holly Near, Vicki Randle, Toshi Reagan, Suzanne Westenhoefer and Cris Williamson.
